    Hi Lamberbee,

    You are correct: Currently the Event Contributor role can only submit events for approval, not publish them him/herself.

    And you are also correct about this being on our “New Feature Request” list. Not all feature requests get implemented, but if they receive enough requests from other users then they get pushed up the priority list.

    Thanks for the feedback Richard, i was aware of it. But is there a temp workaround?

    Hi lamberbee,

    I hear heard of other users additional plugins to give them control over roles and privileges – I do not know the name of these plugins, but a quick search on WordPress may come up with a solution for you. Let us know how you get on.

    For what its worth,

    I’m using

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/

    to allow me to give event contributors full publishing rights and it works a treat !

    @rab – that’s a great tip, thanks for sharing.
