I think something else might be at fault here.
    Do the following:
    1. Disable the ai1ec plugin (only disable it, do not uninstall it)
    2. FTP to your server
    3. Delete wp-content/themes-ai1ec
    4. Delete wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar
    5. Download the latest version from time.ly website – currently 1.8.3
    6. Unzip it and upload the all-in-on-event-calendar folder to wp-content/plugins
    7. Login to dashboard – domain/wp-admin
    8. Activate the plugin – you will be asked to install themes the themes.
    9. After theme installation is complete, check your website – if you still have a problem fill a request on help.time.ly – provide access to your install and I will be happy to take a look and fix any issues with it.

I did excatly what you told me. Same error .. i can’t publish any events.

Since version 1.7 i mostly had trouble with bug in this plugin.

    I’m frustrated !!!!

🙂 well I am trying to help, am I not 🙂
can you fill a support request here: http://help.time.ly/customer/portal/emails/new
I’ll need the following details to fix the problem:
    WP url:
    admin user:
    admin user password:

    ftp host:
    ftp user:
    ftp password:

it will take me 5-10 minutes to fix your issue. Make sure to note in your request that it is for Yani.

Thanks and sorry for the problems.

Thank you but i never give anybody access to my installation.

Hello everyone. I’m at the point of moving back to a less flexible, less attractive but stable calendar, at least until yani and crew stop the practice of putting user themes directory at wp-content level. I think this is what’s causing changes to htaccess (I can’t be sure but every time I install aioec I have to reset BPS because of htaccess changes). And there’s the issue I’ve reported of 403 errors. Question to fellow aioec users: what alternative calendar plugin do you like?

I’ll use Ajax Event Calendar in the future.

    okay, let’s try something:
    1. Download this file: https://raw.github.com/gist/46ffcf97de2e65f3fec1/f317e3c14738b3f75d50b38d73d4024dc5769fe1/gistfile1.php
    2. Rename the file to all-in-one-event-calendar.php
    3. FTP to your server
    4. Go to wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar
    5. Upload the file from step 2 to the folder, it will overwrite the existing file.
    4. Login to wp-admin and tell me if solves the problem.

    @maximan
    1. What is the reason that you don’t want themes-ai1ec folder in wp-content?
    2. We are not making any changes to htaccess
    3. 403 errors – what version of the plugin are you using – why don’t you create a ticket on help.time.ly and someone will help
