Now i can’t even install my former working version 1.7. That’s great!
You guys changes more than only: Branding switch from Then.ly to Timely
Hi, Can you please share a link?
You can also reinstall 1.7 by downloading it from wordpress here: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/all-in-one-event-calendar-1.7.zip
Delete the folders wp-content/themes-ai1ec and wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/ and reinstall the plugin.
Hi, this is what i did first. Thank you. I updated to pro and now it’s working. but the google maps didn’t. this is §$%&
Can you point me to a link with the map not working?
Thanks, we have had a few reports of this happening and are trying to find a common thread. Hopefully we can resolve this quickly.
In 1.7 everything was working fine. So this must be a problem of 1.8
We will investigate – thanks.
1.7 WP – 1.8 wp then 1.8 premium
For the situation where you are locked out, please see this thread:

For the google map not showing up, we will have to look into this further.
Hello,
I would like to report another bug with the new update of all in one calendar, hopefully it helps debugging this otherwise really really cool calendar:
so the issues are:
1, installing the latest 1.8 version of all in one calendar plugin will make your wp blog unaccessible – see how you can resolve this by uploading the AIOC zip file rather than simply adding it from within the wp blog plugin interface http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-all-in-one-event-calendar-you-do-not-have-sufficient-permissions-to-access-this-page
2, once you write an event your calendar will not show up on the actual event page (but you will see it on the interface) – instead of the calendar you will see an empty place holder
3, and this is my current, although minor issue: after the 1.8.1 update, all my seo friendly permalinks, and in fact all links on the website have turned into long links:
this is my default main page url:
http://budapestrivercruise.com
which is automatically rewritten as
http://budapestrivercruise.com/?doing_wp_cron=1343811789.9719049930572509765625
or the calendar page
http://budapestrivercruise.com/calendar?doing_wp_cron=1343812494.4301359653472900390625
and so are all the events
budapestrivercruise.com/ai1ec_event/night-boat-tours-budapest-river-cruise
Any ideas?
1.8 broke the styling of all buttons which made the calendar pretty much unusable. Reverting to 1.7 worked in my case.
I would appreciate it if the changelog would inform us about all changes that could be a potential risk for deployment. “Branding switch from Then.ly to Timely” sounded harmless to me so I went ahead and installed the update.
1.8.1 pro – still no google maps showing in event thread.
Hi, like a lot of you guys I updated the plugin to 1.8 and it ruined the appearance of the calendar on my website; then I tried upgrading to premium and that fixed the look, but not the functionality i.e. it all looks fine but it won’t permit me to see any other view than the current month. As suggested by Timely’s FAQ support I have updated again, this time using ‘Timely Updater’ but this has not resolved the issue either – any suggestions?
Here’s my site’s calendar page which is locked in the current month view: http://go-where.co.uk/mountain-biking/calendar/
