All-in-One Event Calendar
[resolved] Display Issues - Plugin: All-In-One Event Calendar (14 posts)

I updated the core calendar files and redid one of the columns on our website: http://www.bellevilleks.org/

Now the All-In-One Event calendar dates are displaying way bigger than they were before. It is supposed to be an agenda view with a regular sized date and description.

I have tried to fix it without any luck. Does anyone have any advice?

    Thank you in advance,
    Jenny - Webmaster for bellevilleks.org

    Hi jenrusfreelance,

Perhaps the easiest thing to try is uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, then it should get its original styles/code back for the Agenda Widget.

Please let us know if this resolves it.

If I reinstall the program, will it take out all of the dates that are already documented in the calendar so that they will have to be re-entered? Or will it keep all of the information that is currently there?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jenny

If you manually upgrade as described here:

    http://jira.then.ly:8080/browse/AIOEC-112#comment-11675

then you will not lose your events. However, if you have customized any files, it is a good idea to make sure they are (where relevant) in a child theme, because child themes are not overwritten during updates:

Let us know how you get on.

I am trying to create the child theme, but it will not allow me to copy the gamma file. It says that I don't have permission. I right click on the folder using CyberDuck and push Duplicate and nothing happens. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Hello,

This is the first time I leave a message here, so hello to everyone. I hope I did it in the right thread. If not, sorry in advance.

I run a blog about TV series, is in Spanish, and just added the plugin to display a TV show calendar. I don't know php, so can't edit that easily. I'm trying to display more than two events per day, but can't find how to. Also when you enter to the "view calendar" page, does not show events more than a two week ahead period, in any display (agenda, month or anything). It's there a way to change that?

Also I don't want to show the hours, is a web from Spain so it doesn't make much sense to show the exact time when CBS is gonna showing something. Can I disable it?

    Thanks.

    Greetings
    Laura

    @jenrusfreelance:

Just a side note, but currently there is a small bug with creating a child theme from Gamma (the bug is some display issues). Create a child theme using Vortex and you will not have this bug.

However, it sounds like your system also won't let you copy Vortex files, so check you are logged in as the Admin then try again. Also, are you creating a child theme from the folder wp-content>themes-ai1ec or from the themes-ai1ec folder in the plugin folder?

@Laura - this is very strange. Please can you create a ticket by emailing help@time.ly If possible, please provide your WordPress Admin access, which will enable us to troubleshoot this more quickly.

    @richard

Thanks for your help. Actually there was a bug in some of the display views, so we disable some of them. In agenda or posterboard it works fine.

    Thanks any ways.

    Thanks for the update, Laura.

Sorry to here about the bug in the display views. If you would like us to take a closer look at this, feel free to create a ticket as described above.

    Hi Richard,
I tried both of the solutions (unless I was doing something incorrectly, which is always a possibility) and neither seem to fix the display problem that is happening on the home page. It appears to me to be an issue with the widget display, since the calendar page itself seems to be fine.

Again, it was displaying fine until I ran a All-In-One Event calendar update a couple of weeks ago and now the headers are too big, height wise.

Do you have any further ideas?

    Hi jenrusfreelance,

Please try using the vortex theme for making your child theme. On further inspection there seems to be a bug with the gamma theme.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi jenrusfreelance,

I am going to mark this thread as resolved as we have not heard from for four weeks.

That's fine. We never did get it to work probably, we just used the Google feed instead to fix it. Thanks!

@jenrusfreelace, just to let you know, the child theme issue will be resolved for the upcoming release. However, if you have found a work-around, that is of course also fine.
