I installed All-in-One Calendar on a test site that has no plugins and everything worked fine. Then I installed on a cloned test site with many plugins and got a fatal error message that cancelled the install. Despite this cancellation i had to ftp and delete All-in-One directory to regain control. I’m trying to narrow down the plugin that mights be causing the problem. Any hints would be appreciated. Here’s the error message:

Fatal error: Ai1ec_Settings::get_instance() [ai1ec-settings.get-instance]: The script tried to execute a method or access a property of an incomplete object. Please ensure that the class definition "Ai1ec_Settings" of the object you are trying to operate on was loaded _before_ unserialize() gets called or provide a __autoload() function to load the class definition in [site url deleted from this post]/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/app/model/class-ai1ec-settings.php on line 273.

That error is usually from a cache plugin. You probably have w3c ?
Disable the plugin and try again.
We made a compatibility patch for this issue and will release it in 1.7
The problem is that w3c plugin makes type changes to the data when it is fetched from the database.

I guess it was a cache issue, so I removed w3c and added Super Cache. Problem solved.

I do have a couple of unrelated questions:

    1. All pages are configured to NOT allow comments but aio detail calendar still shows “posted by”. I’d like to remove. Is this possible?

    2. Widget is great for “all day events” with nice white lettering on blue background. When event time is added the widget reverts to plain black on white. Possible to have time of day with white on blue?

We are making a wiki-like page that will help all users of the plugin, could post your questions on and someone from our support team will answer.
    Thank you!

I switched from w3c to Super Cache until ai1 1.7 is released. Do you have an estimated release date?

    I’m getting a 403 error.
