 * Hi is there any chance in an update you can have it compatible with the same 
   php version as in version 2.4 of the plugin? I can’t have the latest update of
   sideposts because of it
 * “Warning: The active plugin «Alkivia SidePosts 3.0.1» is not compatible with 
   your PHP version.
 * PHP 5.2 is required for this plugin.”

 * We are really sorry, but development is going only tested and supported on current
   maintained versions for WordPress and PHP.
 * No backwards compatibility will be provided. The same way obsolete WordPress 
   versions are not supported, obsolete and unmaintained PHP versions are abandoned.
 * PHP 5.2 is now more than 3 years old and previous PHP 5 versions where abandoned
