I’d like to change the way Aleph displays, but I’m finding that I’m out of my league here. Any assistance will be much appreciated.

First, I’d like to change the way the Aleph widget in the sidebar displays. Right now it has two links: Contributors and Registered Users. I’d like to change that to display a list of usernames instead.

Second, is there any way I can set up a spotlight profile in the sidebar as well? It would display a specific profile in the sidebar every month. Would I need to use an additional plugin for this?

  • Yes, all your requirements need an additional plugin. The good news is that it is not hard to code it, because the only thing you need is to create a user loop in your widget.

Unforntunately, that requires programming. I can’t help you right now, only point you to the function you need to use: query_users.

Thanks for the info. I’ll look into it and see if I can manage it.
