What version of WP? What timezone is your blog set to?
This must be a locale issue, but I am still unsuccessful in replicating this problem locally. Please provide as much information as possible.

WP is 3.2.1, and my blog is set at US Central time (GMT -6), although it was accidentally set at GMT before. In both cases it created the event today (July 21) at what it thought was the local time. This happens whether I use the Month or the Week view to create the event. It puts the starting and ending time at the current time.

It looks like I can drag things and change the time on the Weekly view. But as soon as I double-click the event and hit Update – even if I change nothing – it jumps back to the current date and time.

    Eran,

I have the same issue. It creates the event at the current date / time rather than what you enter… I will see if i can find the problem…

    3.2.1 — EDT

I’m the same, even though entered event for date of Dec 14th created event for July 21. Edited and changed date and pressed Update but stubbornly refused to move event to Dec 14th as originally intended. Time GM. David

Ditto here. No matter what I do, a new event is saved under today and starting at the current time (the time I click ‘save’).

Fully upgraded WordPress. I just upgraded to the new version of the plugin.

(By the way, thanks for fixing the ‘duration’ display problem!)

Same issue here, using WP 3.1.4 and set to PDT (stuck using PHP 5.2.4 until my boss gives the okay to kill off a Joomla 1.0 installation that has old news on it.) All events are created today, even editing past events sets them to today. I also can’t create events in the past although I have that option off in the Ajax Calendar options.

I’m running WordPress on a intranet that is closed off of WAN: I’m going to revert to the prior version of the plugin for now.

Problem might be with date_i18n in the date_convert function…

Yes, that is what I am currently working on fixing.

Having the same problem here. CDT (-6:00) with latest WP install.

New event is always placed on current date and time. Once the event is on the calendar, it can be dragged to another date. In “week” mode, event can be dragged to different times, but always displays original minute setting when event was created., ie, 3:05 instead of 3:00.

This calendar looks great if this issue can be fixed. Thanks!

I am nearly done with the fix and will post a notification when the development version link is ready for beta testing. Once I’m satisfied that no major bugs remain, I’ll update the plugin via the usual channels.

If you’re interested in beta testing the plugin, stay tuned to the forum.

    Thanks,
    Eran

    Good deal.

Oops. I just noticed that category colours are not showing.

    1. In the WordPress Dashboard / Calendar / Categories, all of my categories are there and they all have the appropriate colours displayed.

    2. Go the main Events calendar and all of the categories listed at the top are uncoloured.

    3. Look down at events being displayed in the calendar and they are all highlighted in dark blue.

    4. Look at the sidebar widget display and the events listed show no colour.

You can look at http://www.peachlandnews.com/events to see what I mean. You can go to http://peachlandnews.com/blog/2011/07/21/man-74-dies-while-volunteering/ to see what the widget display looks like.

If this happens, go to the manage categories page and press update on any of the existing categories. Return to the front-end calendar and refresh the page to reload the css file. Your category colors should return, if not, then please report your findings.

    Thanks,
    Eran

    Eran,

Your fix worked. Updating the colours reset them and everything is peachy… colour wise.
