Support » Plugin: Advanced iFrame » [Plugin: Advanced iframe] Access Denied for IE cross-website

  • Resolved

Your iframe works well with Firefox, Safari and Chrome, but it doesn’t work in IE. I have managed to find out the reason: The site I’m trying to access has some jquery as it needs pagination. The pagination links work in all othe rbrowsers, but not IE. I have also managed to find a solution, but unfortunatelly, as I don’t ‘speak’ ajax, I have no idea where to start fixing your code… You can check the issue on my site at: Spicer Travel

    The resolution is: here

Please note that the question on that page is not my issue, but the answer No 7 seems like is the correct one (well, it makes most sense…)

Is there something I can insert in the admin input fields for your plugin or you need to fix the plugin itself?

    Kind Regards:)

You don’t have to fix my code. You have to fix the code of the including site!
As the link shows you have to use XDomainRequest for your calls.

    what the problem?

    What do you mean?

    Hey mdempfle,

I don’t own the including site nor the owner wants to change anything in their code… Just wondering, if there is no issue, why does it work on all other browsers?

Because only IE does handle the ajax call this way.
As you see in the link you posted that a different way to handle ajax calls are needed for IE.

There is an issue. But it is related to the site you include in combination with IE and iframes. There is nothing an iframe wrapper can do.
