[Plugin: advanced-excerpt] Bug: excerpt length trouble

The excerpts work fine on the home page, but somehow when I go into the posts the excerpts are placed all at the top above the header as plain text. It’s even grabbing text from below the <-more-> tag.

Sidenote: It is only happening when the amount of letters or words are not fully used (according to the amount I give in at “excerpt Length”). So in a post with loads of text it doesn’t happen, but posts with little text it goes horribly wrong by adding text above the header and grabbing content even from below the read more line.

Using latest version of the plugin and WordPress. I hope this can be fixed somehow!
