# Plugin: Advanced Code Editor

 * I downloaded the Advanced Code Editor from wordpress.org, copied files to the
   content-plugins directory, then activated the plugin. Then when I went to Appearance-
   Editor, the php files were still listed to the right, but when I clicked on them
   there was a quick flash of content and then the content window was blank. When
   I deactivated the plugin, the appearance editor returned back to normal. I’m 
   working on a new blog that is not live yet.

 * It’s possible you could just have a plugin conflict. The Advanced Code Editor
   seems to be working okay for me while using Firefox on WP 3.3.1, but I didn’t
   test it any further than that.
 * Some things to try:
 * – Deactivate any other plugins you might be using and see if the Advanced Code
   Editor behaves any differently. You may want to also test it while using a different
   theme (as unlikely as it might seem), just to rule that possibility out.
 * -You might also want to check and see if the behavior is any different while 
   using another browser. (IE, FF, Safari, Chrome, etc…)

 * can’t say that i can replicate this issue and as far as i can tell it’s probably
   another plugin conflicting.
 * try deactivating your other plugins one by one and once you see it working you’ll
   know which one.
 * If you’d like to reply with it’s name I’ll try and see what can be done.
