Is there a way you could make it so the soon to be replaced div’s dimensions are saved so that the page doesn’t collapse while loading the new div? Also, could you add a feature to disable scrolling to the top of the page?

The Ajax For All plugin currently offers these features so maybe you could use some of that code. I tried to dissect the code myself but after 10 hours I didn’t get very far.

EDIT: My navbar tags aren’t updating even though the URL is updating. How can I fix this?

  • Also interested in this, especially disabling scroll to top.

@techtalk – have you found a way to make either of these features work?

No I have not. For now I’m using the Ajaxify WordPress Site (AWS) plugin.

Thanks TechTalk, AWS works great with no scrollTop for me.

Okay I’m going to be adding an option to disable the “scrolltotop” and possibly even “show content behind loading” options so you can keep the content there.

However I do have to say, scrolling to the top of the document makes sense as the content of the page changes, without it the user is potentially going to land in the middle of a document when they move pages, which could be confusing.

However it is always good to have options 🙂
