 * After upgrading to the latest version my entire site was unavailable and was 
   reporting a HTTP 500 Error. I had to restore a back-up. Any confirmation that
   this is a known issue?

 * My only concern is the last time it completely corrupted the installation. Will
   this happen again with this version or have you done something that would allow
   me to actually see the error report? Does the question make sense?

 * It depends how your server is configured. I guess you had this error because 
   you server is configured for any fatal errors redirects to host 500 error.
    You
   can try it again. Just activate. If you’ll see it again, then just delete advanced-
   access-manager from plugins folder and never get back to it 🙂

 * Just to confirm, then, if I get another Host 500 Error, all I would have to do
   is delete the AAM directory via FTP and that should at least bring the site back
   up?

 * Yeap. You are right. Just try to activate a plugin. You can experience some warning
   or notice messages but this should not case any host 500 errors.

 * I am not sure what to say – installed no errors and all seems fine. I also do
   not know how to check the install log, as no errors were reported. Directions
   or thoughts as all seems well?

 * Connect through FTP to you server and go to plugins/advanced-access-manager/temp.
   If there is a error.log file and it is not empty then send me it. For more info

    If you wanna be 100% safe,
   just make a dump of user, usermeta database tables and go ahead.

   How does one do a database dump? 3) Are there dangers in performing a dump?

 * Database dump is just a copy of existing database u have. You can make it with
   phpMyAdmin. Most hostings do have phpMyAdmin installed.
    This is a good practice
   to make a dump of database from time-to-time. There are two ways to kill you 
   website – one is to change php files and second – database. In fact that I didn’t
   here that any plugin in WordPress repository does this, the only way is database.
   So just make a dump and do not afraid that something will mess-up your installation,
   because you’ll be able to restore it.
