I don’t see how W3 can cause such and error.
However the 2 are not compatible.
Maybe “total” is coming from adrotate. I had not inspected this further.

I wanted to mention that it would be possible to make AdRotate compatible with W3 Total Cache (and other cache plugins) if you make the widget content loadable via ajax or iframe. Is there a possibility of adding this feature?

in a closed thread some people had problems combining AdRotate with W3 Total Cache or similar Caching Plugins like SuperCache. I wrote a blog article with a clean solution using JQUERY’s Cycle (used like “glue”) to get AdRotate’s Output working with Page Cache / W3 Total Cache. Forget “fragmented Caching”, it’s even easier than you think…
