  • Hi,

I’m not the plugin author, but i just worked this out and thought i would share it…

    Quick Explanation:
There is a box trailing each checkbox section with title “Your Own *something* Options”, with two text areas. In the left text area enter the name for your option and in the right, enter the class or ID of the thing you want to hide.

Click “Update Options” -> Page will reload and you will see your option available at the bottom of the list. Check it and away you go…

    Example based on my need:
I was hiding Custom Field Template on the Post page, so i went to the bottom of the post options, then added the name in the left text area (Custom Field Template in my case, for your reference so it can be anything…) and the selector for the element in the right (# for ID and . for class – so i entered #cftdiv)

Name for option in left -> selector in the right

    Click “Update Options”

Go back down and find your newly created option and select the boxes as neededf (Editor, Subscriber etc)

@pbuttons: thanks for help me; the best tool for find ID or class is FireBug on Firefox.

[Plugin: Adminimize] I have used this in WordPress 3.0 and now have a problem with a network site where experimenting with the deactivating of options it will not allow me to reactivate the options back to the default settings via the admin panel. is there another way?

@pbuttons – thank you for this.. I am trying to hid things in the post page in the publish meta box – basically I only want them to be able to put it into a draft or publish status and hide the date and other options.. when I use firefox firebug I discover the div’s and classes are layers deep so I am not sure how to properly list them in adminimize to get only specific things in that box to hide… any chance you could help?
