    “Index, Follow” is not a default WP setting. I guess it’s coming from one of the several SEO plugins available out there. As there are dozens of these plugins, it’s quite hard for me to support each of ’em, sorry. At least for now. 😉

    Well, you learn something every day. I use Joost’s WordPress SEO plugin which works well for me, except there’s simple way of doing global alterations on “Index, Follow” for each post and page, of course. In the end I managed it, if a little more long-winded, with Scott Reilly’s “Admin Post Navigation” which adds links to navigate to the next and previous posts when editing a post in the WordPress admin and makes it a little easier.
