    Hello,

I just upgraded this plug in last night and now the individual buttons do not display. When I add them in the “add/remove services” page and click save I noticed that they are not saving.

This mod worked perfectly before and we have made no changes to the site. This was the first plug in I updated and I had this problem right from the start.

I have heard others having this problem as well. Is there a solution? The site is http://www.abysebastian.com

To troubleshoot try 1) Resetting AddToAny plugin settings, then 2) Temporarily disabling other plugins.

Oftentimes it’s a JavaScript error from another plugin that will cause “Add/Remove Services” to fail to save.

    hi –

the add to any menu no longer expanding upon hover seems to be a widespread problem.

frankly, add to any is my favorite plugin, and i hope to keep it functional as i may one day turn all else off and stop screwing with all these quirks upon upgrade. so i really hope i can get add to any fixed…

    here’s my history:
    WP 3.1.2 plus A2A version 9982 = WORKED!!!

then i upgraded WP & the plugin at the same time:
WP 3.1.3 plus A2A version 9991 = BROKE (no menu upon hover)

    so i went back to 9982 and…
    WP 3.1.3 plus A2A version 9982 = WORKED!!!

then i tried upgrading WP again when available, plus 9991:
WP 3.1.4 plus A2A version 9991 = BROKE (no menu upon hover)

but then 9993 was available, so i had wishful thinking:
WP 3.1.4 plus A2A version 9993 = BROKE (no menu upon hover)

long story short, i haven’t been able to get anything past add to any 9982 to work, REGARDLESS of version of WP.

HOWEVER, i have WP 3.1.4 & A2A 9993 on another site (DIFFERENT theme) and it all works…….

….so, i know it’s something up with my theme (or, less likely, plugin conflict). i saw something about some sort of “required template tag (wp_footer)” but don’t really know what that means (or what to do about it).

as for the troublesome theme, here’s an example of:
    1. WP 3.1.4 and A2A 9993 BROKE – http://historicalsilverprices.com
    2. WP 3.1.4 and the old A2A 9982 WORKING – http://comexgold.org

if i upgrade from 9982 to any newer version, i’m screwed.

but i really want to be able to keep up with A2A and make it my go-to social plugin to where, if all others get buggy, i can just turn them all off and use A2A alone….

    please help,
    thx,
    scott

@scott – please post a new topic next time, but hopefully this helps you in the meantime:

The problem definitely looks like a theme issue on your site with your theme lacking two critical & required template tags. See the the entry “Why isn’t the drop-down menu appearing?” in the FAQ.

You can access the Theme Editor from the Administration > Appearance > Editor menu. Select your theme to edit, then you’ll want to edit the footer.php and header.php files by following the instructions in the FAQ entry above.

sorry about the spuriously placed post.

i’ve requested the theme designer fix those two spots.

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having this same issue on a fresh install of the plugin. In the admin options, it is not saving the standalone services after I click on them and tell it to save.

(In fact this is a fresh install of WordPress 3.2, not an upgrade).

So this is resolved now? When will it be released?
