That is odd. It might be a problem with your theme. What theme are you using?
The theme is called Arjuna by SRS Solutions. I’ve tried a variety of different theme options, but nothing works. I put an excerpt, the share/save button disappears. Take it out and voila … it’s back.
By the way, same thing happen on Deep Blue (different blog site, different theme)
I tried on Arjuna X but couldn’t reproduce. Just to make sure we’re on the same page, how exactly are you manually adding an excerpt, step by step?
Oh, drat! Have you ever had a loud clunking noise in your car … but it disappeared the minute you drove into the shop to have it checked?
Well, that’s what happened. I **SWEAR** to you, I tried again and again before posting this message the other day — and it ALWAYS happened. I’d include the excerpt, and the share/save button vanished. I’d delete it, and the button returned. Both sites!!!
Today, I tried again, and it’s working. On both sites. So, either you, micropat, are incredibly powerful and by simply answering my message you got it to work, or there was some glitch on my server the other day.
As the late, great Gilda Radner would say: “Never Mind.” (and thanks anyway!)
It could have been an issue with caching. No problem. 🙂
