  • For instance, it’ll incorrectly post “Welcome to Dansbanners!” rather than the title of the post, “Reached $1000 in Earnings in PTCBox!”.

    Anyone?

I’d appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

    Dan,

It’s because Facebook scrapes the title and description from the URL of the page you Like. When I open up one of those posts directly, the page title is “Welcome to Dansbanners!” and the description is the general site description. You need to have the page title match the post title for Facebook to notice.

    Best,
    Matt

Ok, then what do you think is the solution? For some reason, I don’t see some of the other websites with the facebook like buttons having this dilemma?

For a while there, I thought that perhaps maybe removing the meta title tag (i.e. “Welcome to Dansbanners”) would do the trick to no avail?

What do you suggest I do in this regard?

I’d appreciate it. Thanks again in advance!

    AddThis Samurai

    Dan,

I checked your site now and can’t find AddThis share buttons there. I can see the Title of the page and Meta title matches now. So can you try it one more time and let me know if it fails?

    Hi,

That although I appreciate your willingness to help, however, I’m really sorry but I decided to deactivate the plugin deciding that the whole project was getting too tedious. Anyway, to answer your question, I did try again to no avail.

Thanks anyway! And best of luck to your program!

    AddThis Samurai

    Dan,
Appreciates your effort. I would like to actually reproduce the issue here to avoid such inconvenience to other users. I can see that the theme is a customised version of default one – Kubrik. If it’s ok for you and if it’s a free one, can you share the theme or the link to download it to me [srijith AT addthis.com]. I will check and let you know what went wrong where.

Yes, I do have the customized version of the default theme. However, I did it all on my own, working on and changing the codes and all.

Anyway, the AddThis function seem to be working now.

Thank you all for your help and support! 🙂
