  • I have the same problem/question. So many theme developers include Fancybox or Prettyphoto or another lightbox, but don’t bother to make it auto-link images. So this plugin would be perfect, but it doesn’t seem to work. I get no results when after activating it. If it only works on publish/save, or something else, then it’s not very helpful, if you already have a lot of content on your blog, etc. Would sure be helpful if it worked like many lightbox plugins that also have a lightbox included, and auto-added the rel to all image links, regardless.

EDIT: nevermind, it appears to be adding the rel=”prettyPhoto” as I set it to, but the theme isn’t picking it up for some reason. I’ll check with the theme’s developer.

Ooops, haven’t been watching this support forum

If it’s still relevant: the rel attribute is set when the page is generated so it doesn’t affect the stored information.

I have had problems in the past with the slimbox plugin that I use having a filter that added rel=”lightbox” before this plugin. add-rel-lightbox will ignore any links that have rel=”lightbox” (or rel=”nolightbox”) set already, so check that nothing else is changing the page first. (add-rel-lightbox has priority 12 to be called after the gallery shortcode)

If you set any other rel attributes, add-rel-lightbox will currently replace them.
