Getting the same issue.
PHP 5.4.4.
Error reporting turned off in PHP.INI.
In xlee’s reply the author says they are updating the code. So how could the error happen if he updated the code last year?
This is such a great plugin. I would hate to be unable to install it in the new server.
Same problem, but the above changes can be applied manually. If the plugin isn’t updated, I’ll be happy to fork it to another…
the plugin was updated, if you need the version that works without the errors in php 5.4
scroll to the bottom of this page and download in original format the class.add-from-server.php
then use it to replace similar file in the plugin folder
http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/add-from-server/trunk/class.add-from-server.php?rev=428887
I believe I”m getting the same error.
Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/marrie/domains/tffp.marrie.org/public_html/wp-content/plugins/add-from-server/class.add-from-server.php on line 137
I downloaded and tried the latest on the wordpress plugin site wihtthe same problem. Can this be implemented inthe the public build? I don’t know of any other plugin that will do what I want like add from server.

PLugin is still broken on WordPress 3.5 Multitiste .

Plugin is broken.
Plugin Version 3.2.0.2
PHP Version 5.4.13
Activating plugin creates white screen of death.
PHP Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in [all sites web-root]/wp-content/plugins/add-from-server/class.add-from-server.php on line 137
Erroring line is reported as this:
$this->settings = new add_from_server_settings(&$this);
Same error here:
Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in //path/to/my/wordpress/installation/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/add-from-server/class.add-from-server.php on line 137
Any idea? I surely would like to use this plugin since my darn ISP limits me to 8MB uploads;)
