Support » Plugin: Markup by Attribute for WooCommerce » Plugin active but not showing anywhere

    Hello,

I’m trying to use this plugin as it meets our needs for our project.

I tried installing it using “Plugins > Add new > upload file”. Everything goes fine. Activation seems to work as it appears in my plugins list.
    I’m using :
    PHP 7.2.9
    Wordpress 4.9.8
    Woocommerce 3.5.0
(fresh install, everything seems set up)

According to the documentation, I should have new fields in “Woocommerce > Settings > Products”, and “Products > Attributes > Configure terms”.

I tried on new and existing products, but nothing appears, neither in attributes, nor in woocommerce settings.

Could you help me troubleshoot it ?

    Interesting. My development environment is

    • PHP 7.2.10
    • WordPress 4.9.8
    • Woocommerce 3.5.1

So, software versions should not be an issue. Let me get a little more information.

In “Woocommerce > Settings > Products”, there should be sub-tab selections that look like this:
General | Inventory | Downloadable products | Markup by Attribute”
Are you saying that the “Markup by Attribute” selection does not show? If you go to “Plugins > Installed Plugins” and click on Markup by Attributes’ ‘Settings’ link, what happens?

In “Products > Attributes > Configure terms”, there should be a field titled “Markup (or markdown)” at the bottom of the “Add New [term]” column. If you click into an individual term, the same field should appear at the bottom of the “Edit [term]” panel. Can you edit a term (like a size or color) and let me know what fields (Name, Slug, etc.) appear?

Finally, do you have access to the debug.log? If so, could you deactivate and reactivate the plugin then email me at markupbyattribute@mail.com with any errors that result?

    – “Markup by Attribute” selection did not show.
    – “Plugins > Installed Plugins” I don’t remember seeing the ‘settings’ link under the plugin, even though it appeared as activated.

In “Products > Attributes > Configure terms”, there should be a field titled “Markup (or markdown)” at the bottom of the “Add New [term]” column. There were only the standards fields, not the markup one ; I tested it on existing contents, and new created contents.

I then updated to the latest woocommerce (3.5.1) but the problem still occured.

I managed to make it work though.
If I remember correctly, I deactivated all plugins on my fresh WordPress installation, activated Markup by attributes, then woocommerce (3.5.1) and the pannels appeared.
I did the same on my other WordPress site with existing contents and it worked there too.

Even though I activated the debug logs, none were produced (I don’t even have an empty file generated).

I remember tinkering with the plugins folder rights too (as i’m currently on a local wamp server on windows) but it didn’t look like it’s related. I’m guessing that it was a problem with the woocommerce version, but it’s kind of weird that I had to activate your plugin before woocommerce.

Thanks for your help, I hope this was just a bad process on my part. I really enjoy the plugin, it really fits our need as of now.

    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, that is really strange. I, too, am doing development and testing off a couple of LAMP stacks on my local network. And, likewise, I’ve had some odd permissions problems. Nothing like that, though.

    Glad you worked it out.

    I’m having a similar issue.

Plugin installs. I have this: ““General | Inventory | Downloadable products | Markup by Attribute””

But I do not have this: “In “Products > Attributes > Configure terms”, there should be a field titled “Markup (or markdown)” at the bottom of the “Add New [term]” column. ”

I’ll try deactivating everything else and adding this first and see if that fixes it.

    I FOUND IT.

It’s under Configure Terms not on the main attribute screen where I was looking for it.

OK, now I can try this out, very excited!

    Cool!

Yes, the markup will be on the individual terms.
