please provide the exact error message from your server error log. Also your PHP version.
Thank you prasunsen. It must have been Buddypress. Switched it off. Now everything back to normal
The same problem again.
In a new installation (multisite again) and after I have deleted BuddyPress, I attempt to activate Namaste and Watu and it refuses. Gives the message: “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”
Looking into the error-logs I see the following (under Showing latest entries for file: /home2/brixfax1/public_html/testsites/test01/wp-admin/network/error_log):

Thank you!

You need to activate the plugin as a site admin, not as a network admin.
thank you very much!
I also have another site (where I have them already installed) and a lot of work done in there. The plugins are already active. Also a multisite. Now they need to be updated. There is no option to perform the update from the site. Only from the network. I hesitate to update. Should I go ahead?

Updating is fine, only activation needs to happen per site.
