# Plugin activation problem

 * Using WP2.0. Uploaded plugins via ASCII and wp-content folders have full permissions.
   When I click “activate” it says the plugin is activated (If the status truly 
   changes to activated the “deactivate” should appear but doesn’t). Have tried 
   all plugins but they all do this. For instance, using the skippy dot net WP database
   backup plugin, it’s supposed to appear in the “Manage” menu but doesn’t.

 * Suggest you upgrade to 2.0.4 first (more secure and if a file is corrupt the 
   upgrade, if you follow directions, should fix that).
 * Then test again…
