Plugin 1.4.0 – Shipping address changes to Paypal default after Paypal login

Using version 1.4.0 in a staging/sandbox environment.

When placing and order using the plugin, the default shipping address in the Paypal account overwrites the shipping address passed from the WooCommerce cart (3.0.5).

At the end of the order the incorrect shipping address is passed back to WooCommerce. If the customer doesn’t realize this switch, the order would be shipped to the the wrong location and I’m sure the shipping wouldn’t be correctly calculated.

So you’re going through the WC checkout page and choosing Express Checkout, but the shipping address entered on the WC checkout page is getting overwritten by the PayPal selected address. Do I understand correctly?

To be more specific. I’m using the WC checkout page (with either a manually put in shipping address or my default same as billing address), choosing “PayPal Express” as my payment method (Stripe is my other choice).

After providing the login credentials to Paypal window, Paypal just shows the default shipping address in my Paypal account. Not the address I had in the WC checkout page.

We have made adjustments to resolve this issue in the release branch on GitHub, and the adjustments will be included in the 1.4.2 update we’ll be pushing soon. If you’d like to grab it early so you can update manually before the official update you can download it here: https://github.com/angelleye/paypal-woocommerce/archive/release.zip

Glad to hear it! Sorry again it happened. We’ll be releasing the 1.4.2 update before long, which includes this fix and a few others.
