• I am not sure if you have ever heard of this and I am not sure exactly what is going on. I host a few sites in a reseller account. After installing WPREMOTE on our sites, we sere getting connection error. Below is the email from our support people concerning the WPREMOTE plugin. Any insight would be awesome. Thanks.

    Hello

I am not exactly sure how that plugin works. But it was causing all of these sites to be owned by “fowler” for some reason. You can see a snippet of the error logs here. You can see each user has its unique UID (user ID). For example, azrent is UID 518. But the file for some reason was set to 503 (fowler). And that was consistent across all of these domains. And when the ownership is wrong, its a guaranteed 500 error.

Again, I am not sure how that plugin works, but you will want to make sure its updating the files of the user it should be. Or perhaps there may be a bug in the way they are doing it. But hopefully that gives you a bit of insight into what the issue was. I would imagine if you were to update again with the same procedure, the same issue would happen.
