Plug-ins: search by version of WordPress you are using (5 posts)

Please add a "search by version of WordPress you are using" option to the plug-in search as soon as possible. It is more than painful to have to open up each plugin and check if it works with the version I have.

  2. Even if a plugin isn't listed as working with 3.2.1, that doesn't mean it won't work. Versioning per plugin like that is at the whims of the devs, and doesn't often reflect 100% accuracy, unless they're Johnny on the Spot with updating their readmes. I, myself, often skip point releases.

Some plugins might work but can you still let us do this type of plug-in search? I'm just stressed from having to click on hundreds of links in the plugin install list to see the information I want to see :( I really just want to just download the ones that say they work on the version I am using. The data is in the pop-up window when you click on one plugin name, just not the main plugin list.

m(-_-)m Please, please, please add that information to the first plugin list (/wp-admin/plugin-install.php). It will make using WordPress a lot easier and save me lots of time (***Another idea that is not necessary: Add an option for people that want to see it is the settings area. Search: Show xxxx checkbox, xxxx checkbox, xxxx checkbox, etc). Anything is okay as long as I can get that info into the list of results, showing newest to oldest.

I want to start making lots of useful plugins for WordPress as well and hope I can help update other plugins too. I have never made one before but I'm pretty sure I can learn how to do it quickly.

WordPress is a lot easier to use than most of the other content management systems but a few changes like this would make it even better.

Thank you so much for your time.

    Glen
