Plug in will not install without password

    Downloaded wordpress thru host network solutions. Tried to download ecommerce plug in. Now asks for password. My wordpress login does not work here. Any ideas????

    I believe Network Solutions has it setup to where you can not automatically update or install plugins from within WordPress without knowing your FRP or Cpanel username or password. I think your FTP account on Network Solutions will be the credentials needed to do that.

    Network Solutions has been known in the recent past to have bad server setups which caused file permission escalation and thus many websites hosted on their servers to fall victim to malicious attacks. The only way to get around their setup would be to switch to another host.

    Thank you… that helped greatly. I was able to finally activate plug in. May have to look at additional host options also.
