• Hi,
I’m a beginner with worpress but I have some php/css skills.
I just downloaded the last version of WordPress, bought a themeforest theme (soundwave) and your plugin to make a resume page.

So, basically, I just want to integrate the page into my theme, because when i set it up (activate the resume plugin in the page), it just produce a totally blank page and I have no header no footer, nothing.
The author says “It also has a smart templating feature that let’s developers in the house easily override the template. Just drop it into your child theme, and mod away.” but I cannot figure out how I should do that. what should I drop and where I should drop it ?

Do I have to take some css and copy it somewhere ? or php maybe ? I’m lost, can you help me ? 🙂

    Best regards,
    Anthony

Holy smokes so sorry for the late reply had no idea this was posted.

By default, you don’t need to do anything at all. You just activate it, fill out the info , and that is that.

IF you want to override the markup, that’s when you copy the template from the plugin into your theme.

    Hi,

I am using the Plugin and it works great. I just can’t figure out one thing. Under “Experience”, I am using about ten different positions, and I added job dates to all of them. Still, they are not in a chronological order. That seems kind of weird to me, as EVERY resume has the job history in some kind of chronological order and not mixed randomnly. Can you help?

    Thanks!

    Hi there!
The plugin will not automatically sort by chronological order. It will respect the order that you put them in.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I just tried to put in my eight positions in chronological order into the form again (as I did the first time). As soon as I hit update, the order changed in the process of saving. For now, everything is in the right order except for my most up to date Position that fell all the way to the bottom. And if I hit the update button again, the order will further mess up – just like it did the first time. That’s pretty inconvenient.

Do you have a solution for me?

Sounds like something else may be going on. I’ve never heard of the position not being saved, or moving when you save it. Haven’t had any of these reports either. That’s a tough one.

Just reinstalled the plugin and created a new page – same Problem. First time you save things, everything’s fine. But if you want to update something, it complete f***s up the order after pressing the update button.

Something you might want to look into – otherwise my rating for this plugin probably won’t be the last bad one.

Thank you for replying so quick, though!

    Regards.

I would love to know how to replicate it to fix it, but I unfortunately have no idea what that’s even happening.

If I can’t replicate it I’m not sure how to even begin to fix it. There has been no reports of this at all so I wonder if there’s another plugin conflicting on your install.

And there’s really no need to rate the plugin badly because something is not working for you. I’m responding here, to you, within minutes, for free, trying to help you.
