Brilliant plug-in is installed, but when submitting the form the following error is returned:

ERROR: Sorry, there was an error. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser and try again.

This happened about 9 months ago, but updating all other plug-ins solved the issue. This time however the updates have made no difference.

Any ideas on what is causing this issue?

Can you provide a link to a form where I can see the issue?

Are you using the built in captcha?

Hello Nick – you can see at ubisecure.com at the footer of the page.

Not using the built in Captcha.

    Thanks!

Are you using WP Spam Shield?

All my research leads me back to that plugin:
    https://www.redsandmarketing.com/plugins/wp-spamshield/troubleshooting-guide/?step=09#step_09

That is a WordPress error… or something pretending to be one.

That is not an error generated by this plugin.

Nothing about how this plugin works should trigger that warning — all it does is POST data to itself, make an internal call to Salesforce, and send an email…

I could look into what it would take to make it compatible with WP Spam Shield, but it’s not high on the priority list (the plugin works with WordFence, Sucuri, etc).

Nick, you’re right, deactivating WP-SpamShield has fixed the issue.

I will look out for an update in the future, in the meantime we’ll look at your other anti-spam suggestions.

    Thanks!
