Hi intershipsaver,
It’s exactly the point of the plugin that it doesn’t just hide photos (so the won’t be linked on the page). Your case sounds, like you would need to just deactivate them. This can easily be done by CSS. If you don’t know how this is done, please send me your link and a screenshot with the photos marked, that should disappear, so I can send you the correspondig snipped.
Cheers,
Cyrill
Hello Cyrill,
Thank you for the reply. I’m not sure I understand your reply. From the documentation of your plug-in:
“…if you use the featured image to show a thumbnail on the archives or front page but you don’t want the featured image to be shown on every posts view itself.
The plugin adds a simple checkbox to the featured image meta box, where you can choose, if an image will be shown in the singular view or not.”
This does not sound like the plug in is just designed to be deleting photos from your media library. If I just wanted no photos, I would not need a plug in for that.
Please let me clarify:
In some cases, it worked correctly. The thumbnail photo would show up an archive pages and front page, but NOT on singular view: SUCCESS!!
In other cases, it would delete (randomly) photos entirely from the media library so they would not show up as a thumbnail, on an archive page, or on the main page: FAILURE. <- This is the issue I am posting about. Some images would be deleted IN ALL CASES.
I hope that clarifies.
Hi intershipsaver,
Since I can’t reproduce your issue, can you please tell me more about your installation? What other plugins do your use? Does a change of the theme make any difference?
I’m keen do provide a solution, but this is impossible if I cant reproduce the issue.
Cheers,
Cyrill
