how to edit contact info on the footer section

    I’m hoping somebody can help me out with this. We run a non profit and paid someone to create our website. We have no clue how to manage it or make changes. We are learning along the way.

    This is my problem… At the bottom of every page (footer section I think) is a space for all of our contact info, mission, vision… Our phone Number has changed and we cannot figure out how to update it in this section on our website… SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU! 🙂

    There is no one way to change this. It depends on what theme you’re using and how things were set up initially.

    You can try looking in your footer.php file to see if you can find the info… that’s where i’d start.

    If you can’t locate the phone number to make the change, I’d recommend contact the original designer and have them help you.

    Wow!!! Causes theme if that helps??? is that under Appearance, Editor? There’s nothing but a bunch of codes there, but no details for our contact info 🙁

    Are you sure you looked under your theme settings, widgets footer section?
    some custom themes have a menu entry on the left side,
    generally these issues happen with poorly coded themes, most sections on the sidebar and footer should be widgetized so that the client does not need to edit the template files.
    if you still can’t find it even on the footer.php then you will have to contact the one who built your theme as janet4now said.
