# ployglot plugin problem

 * hello,
 * I am trying to run the polyglot plugin [](http://fredfred.net/skriker/index.php/polyglot)
 * I works if I switch off the permalinks, but it does not work in this way language
   German:
    [http://www.monogo.net/2007/10/20/bodenseeschifffahrt/lang/de/](http://www.monogo.net/2007/10/20/bodenseeschifffahrt/lang/de/)
 * but it works perfect in English:
 * [http://www.monogo.net/2007/10/20/bodenseeschifffahrt/lang/en/](http://www.monogo.net/2007/10/20/bodenseeschifffahrt/lang/en/)
 * Any idea what went wrong?

 * Its to do with the way the permalinks work in polyglot. You need to have the 
   permalinks on a “custom” (in the wordpress/options/permalinks page), enter /index.
   php/ in the field there and it should work.
