 * Hi,
 * I installed the plugin, used the amazon access key and secret key I’ve been using
   for years and I get this next to each line on the settings page:
 * Please verify your AWS Credentials are accurate
 * How do you do this?
 * Thanks

 * Hi,
    Are you 100% sure that the IAM policy (permissions) which are attached to
   the IAM user are correct?
 * Cheers,

 * Hi,
 * I’m not 100% sure of anything at AWS, I was half way through setting up a policy
   when it said something that it would take 24 hours, with a contact support which
   was an endless loop of pages to read so I bailed. Never did find out how to contact
   support. I know this doesn’t have anything to do with this plugin directly but
   in looking at the plugin directions, it looks like you just install the plugin
   and insert your amazon keys. There’s a lot more to it than that.
 * Thanks

 * Hi,
    If you can got already AWS account – creating IAM policy definitly won’t
   take 24h 🙂 It’s just a matter of couple of seconds :). What you should do: 1)
   Open AWS Console, and make sure your AWS Account is activated. You can for example
   open Polly service – if it works, the account is active. 2) Go through steps
   provided here in STEP 1: [https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/tutorials/add-voice-to-wordpress-polly/?trk=gs_card](https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/tutorials/add-voice-to-wordpress-polly/?trk=gs_card).
   Change only one thing. The IAM policy should be a bit different, copy it from
   here: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-polly/#description](https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-polly/#description)
   3) Then everything should be ok. Open your wordpress, provide your credentials,
   and it should work. Sometimes, some people have got problem, because browser
   paste wrong keys, make sure that the browser is not changing what you are providing.
   Sometimes doing it in other browser or incognito mode is good idea.
 * Cheers,
    Tomasz

 * Hi,
    It’s working this morning and I got an answer from Amazon saying the EC2
   was set up as of yesterday and should be working. There was a delay though and
   I’ll post how I ran in to it and I’ll explain it here if it can help somneone
   else.
 * I was using the same page of your step 1 above, yesterday. At step H, when I
   would try to go to the next step I would get a page saying thanks for signing
   up and it will take 24 hrs. and to contact service if there’s a problem. Also
   there was a link to verify by phone that I guess I needed to do also which I
   did. About the 4th time I tried (at different times yesterday) going through
   all the steps of Step1 above and running in to the same roadblock I decided to
   wait 24 hours after contacting amazon AWS help.
 * All I know is it’s working now, you may know where it went off the rails, the
   amazon tech said even know I had been using the system since 2010, EC2 needed
   activation.
 * Anyway, Thanks for your help and plugin!
