Yes please, it would be nice if the plugin was updated… thanks !
Jānis Elsts mentions on his blog the plugin “Broken Link Checker” is transferred to ManageWP.
I asked them about the status of the plugin. Whether they’ll “close” the plugin or provide for an update and support it.
I pointed them towards this thread so hopefully they’ll respond over here.
I reached out to Manage WP via Twitter as well, they’re ignoring this forum and email so far…

Hi everyone,
I don’t have much more information at this moment but what I can say is that this plugin is not actively maintained by ManageWP.
This is also a reason no one from ManageWP is watching over this page and answering questions. Thanks again Patrick for getting in touch with us over Twitter.
I’ll share more information on this thread when I have more informations to the questions raised here.
Hi,
I have opened a request to transfer ownership here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/request-to-transfer-ownership-of-broken-link-checker/
I consolidated a bunch of community patches here:
https://github.com/HongPong/broken-link-checker
You can download an updated version of the plugin here with these patches rolled in. It doesn’t change the database record structure, but seems to be more stable and robust than the current version by all feedback so far:
https://github.com/HongPong/broken-link-checker/archive/master.zip
Nice! I’ll page them via Twitter once more, maybe that helps.
Otherwise, make sure to follow this procedure:
https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-org/take-over-an-existing-plugin/
(as mentioned here)
BLC is back in business. Thank you @mackaaij bor bringing this up back in February, it kept the pressure on us to find a permanent solution for BLC.
Cheers,
Nemanja
You’re welcome! Thanks for the heads up. Just wondering: ManageWP is still listed as developer and there has been an update 18 hours ago – are you keeping the plugin yourself?
Yes. We will be actively maintaining it, and it will remain free and open to 3rd party contributions via GitHub.
