How are these spammy registrations getting passed my Google recaptcha?
1.) In menu, I have created a custom link MEMBERS AREA with # for url. For sub-menu’s I’ve added: Account, MyNews, Members and Email Subscription to show only for logged in members for all member roles. But, this menu is not showing on front-end for me. I’m not sure what’s wrong. It’s supposed to show in secondary menu.
2.) I would like to use Ultimate Members login form only, and not the built-in wordpress login form at all. In the old plugin, this was easily set, but I do not know how to set that up in 2.0.
3.) I’ve configured settings for when someone logs out of the site, it takes them to the homepage. But for some reason when someone logs out, it takes them to the in-built wordpress login, logout url. But, if you log out on front end of the site, it works like its suppose to. The in-built wordpress login logout is getting in the way of a few things.
4.) I’m trying to upload an image for a user from my administrator account, but the image freezes in crop screen. When it does work, the image comes out blurry. I was going through the same thing yesterday, but I had to log in as user in order for the image upload to work. Today, that strange hack is not working.
I’ve installed the latest version of UM, and still have the same issues + a new issue. Google reCaptcha found in extensions is now not enabling. I Enable it, add my details, hit Save Changes and then form becomes blank again. UM should give us some free extensions for using us as guinea-pigs. This is getting tiring.
Uploading an image for a user ends up with error (not found)
1) Can no longer add auto-generated members in v2
2) most extensions not compatible
Profile Cover is not being uploaded. I am trying it on my localhost.
Same issue as many other users have reported already regarding the hanging image uploads. When updating profile photo for other users, the temp cropped image is created in the temp folder, but it never moves past that. Profile photo updates for users own profile work without any hiccups, just when trying to update it for another user. Tested this with PHP 7.0.22 and 7.1.8.
Also, User Role settings get saved, but they don’t take effect 90% of the time. Sometimes clearing the user cache does the trick. But very rarely.
Third bug, and this one is a little more problematic: the User Role setting “Can view these user roles only” doesn’t work at all. Users can view profiles of all other users on the site despite me only allowing that for certain user types. Would be happy to elaborate on all of these and submit more detailed bug reports if that’s possible somewhere.
Anyone know if there’s a beta group? I’d be happy to test fixes.
Looking forward to updates!
Happy New Year everyone!
David
Thank you all for submitting to this thread. Still no solution to all my problems posted above.
UPDATE:
Not sure what happened, but:
1.) In menu, I have created a custom link MEMBERS AREA with # for url. NOW FIXED!!!
