please, requests ability to turn off update notices

    okay after the last expensive nightmare i had over someone changing their code entirely and having to reverse it with an old copy, (it wasn’t the server it wasn’t anything on their little list of glitches that i could find after testing and yes the servers are using php 5.2 the extra load it put on the server crashed all 5 sites and got me yelled at by the server company for crashing their computers.)

    but i would like a disable check for updates button or a button that says OK update available and be able to turn off the nag bar. and you know each time a new plugin version updated or released notify me but give me the option to turn off the notice.

    please

    i will wash the feet of the person who adds that cause i have nothing left to give.

    You can use a plugin to hide the notices, but that is a REALLY REALLY BAD IDEA.

    Not updating plugins and themes is dangerous.

    And if a plugin upgrade crashed a server, then there is a lot wrong with the plugin.

    okay you guys were right i am a dork i have no idea how i missed the one line of code on his support pages but it worked.

    feels embarrsaed so bad. was taking college level programming classes in 1986 and i jsut can’t believe i missed that. ugh.
