Please prevent unrequested post type conversion

I’m using Views (from wp-types). It creates a custom post type called ‘view’. On the edit screen of posts belonging to that post type, the Publish Meta box does not contain the post type switcher options (which is fine) , but if I save/update a post of that type, it is converted to a regular post.

I can fix it by changing the post type slug directly in the database, but I’d like it not to happen.
