Please make the old editor a plugin if this will be the default – terrible

    Clunky, long-winded – dreadful.

    Please, please, don’t make this the default editor for WordPress.

    Cosigned. I will drop WordPress if it’s the default. I abandoned Blogger after ten years because WP provided me with the slicker, more professional interface. Now it’s dropping that interface in favor of one that’s 10x worse than what was on Blogger and is a throwback to the Web 2.0 days. Unreal.

    Hi @staverly, the Classic Editor is definitely available as a plugin, you can install it now https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/ and keep on classic editing post WordPress 5.0. You have that choice for sure.
