• Am typing post now that includes recommendations of yoga videos. I want to hyperlink the titles to amazon. Previously all I had to do was highlight what I wanted to hyperlink and then click the hyperlink button to add the web address to which I was linking. Right now, when I click on the hyperlink button, nothing opens. If I hover, it does show that “alt + shift + A” is supposed to hyperlink, but that doesn’t work either. This has never been a problem before…HELP!!!!

  • Have you tried:
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the 2010 theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Wow! How did I manage to get a yogi?!? awesome!
No, I have not tried any of those methods…sounds time consuming and I am out of time today, but *perhaps* I can try tomorrow…really I have no choice as that post needs to go out by Wednesday…
So, I will try the plug-in thing first…
I am paying for my Thesis theme, so switching not really an option…
and I don’t know how to reset the plugins fold by FTP or phpMyAdmin…sounds scary?

    I will keep you posted…

    and thank you!!!
if anyone else has advice they think will work, please share! this is definitely not resolved yet!

As a first measure of precaution, I would deactivate all the plugins and start with that. It’s most likely a plugin that is causing an error.
Don’t worry about the FTP and phpMyadmin for now… 😉

Remember, your theme’s vendors provide support for their customers.

will do, tomorrow, Christine, thank you! and Andrew, oh yes! thanks for that, too!

having same issues will deactivate a plug in installed today too

@pammccall – if you need further help, please start your own thread per the forum guidelines.

you would think when people are complaining of this same issue two weeks ago wordpress would create a fix for the bug.

If you have some feedback for WordPress, create a thread in the Requests and Feedback forum. It’s not fair to pollute someone else’s thread.

It’s not a WP bug – there may be conflicts with some themes or plug-ins, and if you need help with your site, someone can help you in your own thread.

Sorry this is probably the fifth time I have ever used a forum. Learning. Sorry.

No problem – it’s all about learning here for everyone. It just gets chaotic and confusing when more than one person is trying to get help in the same thread. (And other forums work differently, so that can be confusing too :).) So do start a thread so someone can help you sort out the problem with your site — and include a link to your site and other info: theme, plug-ins, anything you’ve tried.
