Please help me upgrade, tired of trying to get this to work

    I think this is great product, and I know for free I shouldn’t expect too much. It was working beautifully for a LONG time. But now when I run the upgrade, my gallery is thumbnailed with a link to view as a slide show. I have set every possible configuration you can think of inside the app with no luck on getting the slideshow to automatically display. Can anyone here help me through this transition? I have rolled back several times, I will pay if that’s what it takes, or please recommend a product as good that works correctly. thanks!

    And now I’ve upgraded and a rollback will not work, what a mess! Please help!

    I reinstalled to 1.9.13 and reloaded the gallery, all is well. What a shame this thing is in such a mess, incredible app ruined, how frustrating. If anyone has a smooth upgrade path, please post it here. I know there is a radio button in 1.9.13 that says to show as a slideshow, this doesn’t exist in the new version or at least I didn’t see it.

    To prevent yourself from getting into trouble:
    1. Before updating ANY plugin, try it first on a test instance of WordPress. Just put it into a subfolder or subdomain on your server and make sure you use a different table_prefix, or use a different database.
    2. Before updating your main website, make a decent backup first.

    About your slideshow problem, I’ve tried this shortcode on my website, it creates a slideshow that starts immediately:
    [ngg_images gallery_ids="1" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow"]
