# Please Help – Plug in issues

 * Hi,
 * So my boss has this site “[http://www.hobokenhomefinder.com/&#8221](http://www.hobokenhomefinder.com/&#8221);
   and we are having some issues. The site was built by using WordPress but by a
   third party company that will not provide any support. I can log into the site
   but the Dashboard menus & features are not functioning. I need to update to the
   most recent versions of WordPress and plugins but cannot because of my dashboard
   is not working. I was told that if I disable/remove all my plugins it might fix
   this issue, how do I do this?
 * I honestly have no idea on how to use WordPress. I know that the site is running
   a old version of wordpress and that many of the plugins need to be updated. Please
   advise if you can.

 * First make sure that you’re logging in to WordPress with a user that has admin
   capability. If the user doesn’t have admin capability, you won’t have all the
   capabilities in the dashboard.
 * To disable the plugins, you need access to the files either through FTP or through
   a hosting control panel.
 * Temporarily rename each plugin folder to something else.

   myself and so can you.
