Please Help I dont know wahts wrong

    I have a problem with my back office. I recently changed computers and forgot my old login info(it was saved on the computer) so I had to chande the password. well it changed the name form admin to the site name as well. now when I log in I have no side bar menu,(I have may widgets) I have no way to post so I cannot add content. Can someone please help me with this!

    the lostpass process should only change the password, not usernames.

    Did you write the admin username on the lost password page:

    /wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    It sounds like you are logged in as a subscriber.

    I have tried to do this but i cannot access anything in my back office , How can I fix this or do I need to call wordpress!

    I actaully have it hosted on host gator through a freind of mine so i NEED HELP!

    ask your friend to put you back up to administrator or whatever level you were before if they’re the one who’s handling the site for you. it does sound like you’ve been bumped down t subscriber level though.

    your friend should be able to sort it out if they’re an admin on the site.
