I followed the directions at http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory to a “T” and, as I feared, I can no longer log in, either to my original blog address or the new one I am supposed to have.

Can anyone tell me which file it is that has my admin “Options” where I can change back my blog address info so it will redirect to its original location (I left a copy there, just in case)?

Thanks in advance! I’m really freaked out over this one.

you need to edit your wordpress db directly. look in the options table.

I can’t access the options anymore. That’s my problem. Is there a specific file I need to go into?

    Thanks for your help!

I got it! I managed to crawl back into my options and repoint the blog links. But I still don’t know why my attempt to move the blog address failed. I truly followed the directions exactly. Is this a common problem?

Bump- Wondering if there are any tricks not mentioned in I http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

I followed the directions to a “T” but just got an error code. Is there something I need to do on the server side of things possibly?

    Thanks in advance!

Hello everybody, Can you help please?

I am suffering the same problem, a 404 message after blog and URL address change.

Where exactly did you find the ‘wordpress db’?

I would really appreciate advice on this.

    Thank you very much.

    Sincerely,
    reg123
