PLEASE HELP! edited footer-need help on FTP

    Hello!

    I am in dire need!

    I was instructed to :Please Follow These Steps To Restore The Footer:
    Please FTP inside the theme folder and open the includes folder, you’ll find footer.txt inside
    Copy & paste it to the theme root folder and rename it to footer.php to overwrite the current footer.php you’ve modified.
    Finally, refresh your page HERE to go back to your homepage.

    The problem is I have logged into my FTP and I dont know what to do next! I am freaking out! I have gone into the footer.txt file and everytime I try to rename it is says:

    The document “footer.txt” could not be saved as “footer.php”. The volume is read only.

    How do I fix this? 🙁

    Sounds like you are using one of those evil “DISTURB NOT MY FOOTER LINKS OR SUFFER LARGE AND HUGE!” themes.

    If that’s the case, lose that theme like you would avoid a bad infection and use a theme from here instead.

    P.S. Themes that prevent you from modifying the code really fall into the category of evil and stupid. It doesn’t matter how attractive the look is, coding in things like that is an abuse.
