• I thought Masteriyo is only an LMS plugin. But when I installed it, it ruined my entire website by taking over my theme. It even ruined my Main Menu by adding its “Get Masteriyo” button and displayed all the links in my site. If you already have an existing site and want to use an LMS, please avoid Masteriyo.

  • Hi @jojomccid

I am Sanjip from Masteriyo team.
Sorry for the frustration this caused — we understand how alarming it feels when your site’s content/menu appears to change.

In Masteriyo’s setup wizard, there is an optional step to import a starter template to quickly set up a demo LMS site. This import is not required, and we also show a confirmation dialog before importing. Here’s what that confirmation looks like: https://tinyurl.com/2a5cmn7k
If a starter template is imported, it can update demo content like menus/pages because it’s meant to set up a complete starter site in one click. For an existing website, you can skip that step and use Masteriyo without importing any template.

About the “Get Masteriyo” button in the imported demo template — you’re right to point that out. That’s part of the demo content, and we’ll make it more neutral in an upcoming update.

If you still have issues reverting back to your site’s content, please use the chat box in our site and our support team will help on that.
    Thanks.
