    Somewhere in your output code you have the line

    <i class="fa fa-bars"></i>

    This is flagging up various errors on many website checkers, and I have gone through a lengthy process to change all instances of <i> and <b> and the likes to <span> for better SEO reasons.

    Can you please advise how I can change the line above? There’s no option to change in the WP Admin, and I don’t want to edit core files because it’ll be replaced whenever I update the plugin.

    I think it would be better practice if you replaced them with <span> and then published an update yourselves.

    Hi leec87,

    This is the standard markup used by Font Awesome and many other font icon libraries to generate icon output in the HTML.

    If you’d like, you can disable the default main toggle and add your own custom toggle without the icon instead.
