Support » Plugin: Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer » Please ability to edit “Email Changed” Customer Emails

  • This has been a great plugin. My only compliant is that it should allow for editing the “Email Changed” email that is sent to users/customers who change the email address for their WooCommerce account on our website. I would like to remove the part that shows the site administrator’s email address.

    I thought this plugin allowed you to edit/control all emails going to the customer, however I only realized that this “Email Changed” email existed only when a customer’s email bounced.

  • Hey,
    Thanks for taking the time to review!

    The “email changed” email is not a woocommerce email. It’s not created through woocommerce or managed by woocommerce. That is part of WordPress core. Because it’s not a woocommerce email it’s not in the scope of this plugin. This plugin only designed woocommerce transactional emails.

    I know there are plugins out there that let you edit Core WordPress emails, I’ve not tried them out. Perhaps I will at some point launch a plugin to edit and style core WordPress emails. But it’s not something that can be included in this plugin because it would require a different setup completely then how Woocommerce manages emails.

    Another option if you just want to remove the admin email address is to filter the core email using a child theme or snippets plugin and adding this function:

    add_filter( 'email_change_email', 'custom_change_email_content', 10, 3 );
    function custom_change_email_content( $email_change_email, $user, $userdata ) {
    $email_change_email['message'] = 'Hi ###USERNAME###,

    This notice confirms that your email address on ###SITENAME### was changed to ###NEW_EMAIL###.

    This email has been sent to ###EMAIL###

    Regards,
    All at ###SITENAME###
    ###SITEURL###';

    return $email_change_email;
    }

    I hope that helps and clarifies!

    Ben
