Support » Plugin: JW Player for Flash & HTML5 Video » Playlist/video window problem using MP4

  • Hi,

I have a problem with the way playlist thumbnails are displayed and the video window size is set. When using FLV files, everything seems to work fine. However, when using MP4 files, the playlist part is not shown correctly and the player windows height is different. Please see examples on my website:

    http://www.honza-libor.cz/_new/peru-bolivie-chile-2008-film/

    #1 – MP4 files
    #2 – FLV files
#3 – the first video is a FLV file, the other ones are MP4s; in case the first video is a MP4 file, it looks the same way as in #1
(all examples use the same video player; please ignore the thumbnail pictures, those will be changed)

#2 is the way I need the player to be working. Can that be managed somehow?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Honza

In the admin settings for this plugin, set the Primary rendering mode to Flash.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. Your suggestion solved the problem. However, there is another one now – the MP4 videos have a different ratio, the video is squeezed into the format. And the Vimeo video widget in the side bar has a wrong size now as well (I am not sure whether there is any connection between those two issues).

Np. I would set the player’s stretching option to exactfit in the admin.
