I’m currently building a website for my softball team to keep track of the seasons that we played, the stats of the players and scores of the games. I’ve reviewed all the other support group submissions and looking forward to all the suggested updates in the next release.

I’m building the individual player profile pages, which I’m including their metrics, their performances, a headshot photo and a bio for each player. I’m trying to figure out how to re-arrange the items on the player profile pages. Currently the default, list their metrics, then performance, then post any item in the main text field (like headshot and bio). Is there a way to move the headshot and bio to the top of the page, then the metrics and performance stats? I found the template player php file, and I can move the metrics and performance info around, but how to I modify it with the rest of the data attached to that player?

Also, with the performance stats, we have batting stats and for guys that pitch, they have pitching stats. For most of the batters, their stats show up in one line okay on the page. However, when they are also pitchers, the line of stats is so long that it cant fit on the page. It there a way to split up the stats, showing just batting in one line and pitching stats in another line?

Thanks, you can check out the website work in progress here:

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your feedback.

We’re still working out the way templates are defined and displayed, and the current version uses a filter for “the_content” which automatically adds the template in “player.php” to player pages, followed by the actual content. This is a limitation of the current beta version and will be addressed in an update very soon.

You have brought up a good point about performance stats. We’ll definitely look into multi-line statistics per player so that a different set of statistics (Batting/Pitching or Offense/Defense, etc) can be displayed in an elegant way.

I’ll keep you updated about our progress.
